After talking to Dean we decided to go into Joffre Lakes area and do a day trip in there.

We were planning to start early so we left pretty early Vancouver and once we got at the parking lot there wasn't too many cars.

Didn't took us too much to get to the third lake since Dean was pushing a bit and I was trying to keep up with him.

From the third lake we continued our way towards the col of Taylor and Tszil and again we had to go over that loose moraine but this time it was way loose than when I was there few years ago and Dean had to do au cheval over that moraine.

Once we got at the col since Dean haven't been up Mount Taylor we went up Taylor and I joined him to get some memories back.

From Taylor we got back down to the col and made our way to Tszil Peak where we had a snack break.

From Mount Tszilwe dropped a bit and traversed under Mount Slalok face and reached the ridge  to Duffey peak.

The ridge was pretty easy travel and didn't took us too much to get to the base of Duffey Peak.

To get up Duffey we just stayed on the ridge all the way to the summit which was easy traveling.

From Duffey Peak our next destination was Duffey SE1 which had some tricky moves, class 3 scramble and some bushes here and there.

Once we got on Duffey SE1 we continued our way towards Twin Goat Peak following the ridge which was a pretty easy ridge and gives you great views of Lillooet Lake .

Didn't took us too much to get on Twin Goat but we took our time on the summit of Twin Goat and we were talking about our options of how to get back to the parking lot.

One option was to follow our track back to the third lake and the other option was to go over Duffey NW1 and follow a ridge from the summit back down to Duffey highway and we decided to go for the second option.

Soon we left the summit of Twin Goat and started our way back and at the col of Twin Goat and Duffey SE1 we left the ridge and skipped Duffey SE1 which saved us some time and less elevation for us.

We had to get up Duffey Peak one more time from where we followed the ridge to Duffey NW1 and after looking at GPS and at the terrain we started our way down following the ridge from the summit.

For about 1.5 km the ridge was pretty good and we were moving pretty fast but soon we entered the forest and that's when the things started to get ugly.

At first the forest wasn't too bad but there was some dead trees which were slowing us down.

When we had left about 1 km to the highway the forest got pretty bad, haven't seen that many dead trees ever, we were going very slow, crawling over and under endless trees, that 1 km felt like 10 km.

Finally we got back on the highway but we still had a long way up the road.

After few minutes there was a car going up that was super friendly and gave us a ride up to Joffre Parking lot.

Once we got at the parking lot we got our tent ready and went to bed tired setting up the alarm for the next day since we were planning to go into SunGod and Seven'O'Clock area the next day.
