After getting in touch with the local hiking club from Fredericton I decided to join them for a day trip towards Mount Mahawnee and Turtle Mountain.
We drove a little bit pass Welsford and soon we started to go up a 2WD logging road where our trail started from the end of the road.
The trail is pretty much a ATV trail that goes all the way up to both summits, so it's a pretty easy trail and pretty wide but lots of muddy areas.
Once we got on Mahawnee few people from our group started to do geocaching and leaving their stuff for the next person.
We soon got back on the ATV trail and continued our way towards Turtle Mountain.
The views off Turtle are pretty good, really nice flat spot for camping and pretty impressive looking lakes down bellow.
After some snacks and photos we started our way back to our cars.
