Frosty and Windy Joe Mountains

Frosty and Windy Joe Mountains- October 11,2010

One of my friends asked me to go to Frosty Mountain on Monday.
Since I haven't been into that area yet I was interested and excited to go and explore that area.

So we started around 6.30 AM from Vancouver,it was cloudy almost all the way,and after Hope we start to see some really nice views.

We started from parking lot, around 11 AM, but we started to follow the trail along the lake and went way too far before we realized we are going away from Mount Frosty,so we went back to the same spot where we parked and found the trail on the other side of the lake, probably wasted about an hour.

The trail was pretty good, pretty big trail and pretty easy to follow.

At about half way up there is an old cabin.

Soon we got into the alpine and started to see some views especially seeing our destination Mount Frosty.

Didn't took us too long before we reached the summit where there was another group.

Beautiful views of Manning Park form the summit but we didn't spent too much time on the summit since our plan was to connect with Windy Joe.

So soon we started our way down and joined the trail towards Windy Joe which we lost in few spots.

After a bit we finally reached the summit of Windy Joe and went inside to check the fire lookout.

Getting back to the parking lot from Windy Joe was pretty straight forward and pretty easy trail.

It was a long but fun day in a new area.
