Taillefer Lake-Brian Waddington Hut

                            Taillefer Lake-Brian Waddington Hut - May 09,2010

Another great hike with few friends from Wanderung hiking club, this time we decided to go for Taillefer Lake ,which from the begging wasn't our destination, we basically decided to go there once we passed Pemberton.

We started from Vancouver at 6.30 and from the begging we was thinking to go to Finch Ridge, but we couldn't find the right road so we opened a book and decided to go to Taillefer Lake instead and see at what time we will be there.

We found the road to the lake but a few meter later the road was blocked by a few rocks so we stopped, and parked, since we had a small 2WD car that couldn't really make it further than that point.maybe 2 km from the main road, and soon we started hiking.

The weather was really nice, sunny, with a few clouds.
After some road walking we finally got to the trailhead and started hiking along the trail.

The way to the lake was beautiful with really nice views and great trail.
We reached the lake around 15.00 and the view was just great.

The lake was frozen, pretty safe to cross, and the hut was so nice, thanks to VOC for that big hut over there.

We didn't spent too much time at the hut since it was getting late but we still had enough time to look through some entries in the book and have some snacks.

Once we took enough photos of the hut we started our way down back to the end of the trail and a long way down on that logging road.
