Mount Baker

                                                Mount Baker via Easton Glacier-July 06-07 2013

After climbing Mount Rainier a week ago me and Marius decided to go for Mount Baker this weekend.

The road to the parking lot was in pretty good shape and it was pretty busy but we were able to find a parking spot.

We tough that we will be able to get our permits at the trailhead but you can't do that at the parking, and after checking few cars and seeing that most of them didn't had anything on their windshield we started our hike.

The trail is in pretty good shape, the creek crossing was a bit tricky.

Didn't took us too much to get into alpine and get some views.

We were moving pretty slow since we had all day to get to our camp which wasn't that far away.

Once we were getting closer to the glacier we could see few groups practicing crevasse rescue.

Soon we got to our camp where there was at least 10 other teams but there was lots of room for everybody.

After having our dinners we went to bed since the next morning we had to wake up pretty early.

We woke up at 3 AM and there was already few other groups ahead of us and after our breakfast we started our way up.

Soon we go to the other groups that were going pretty slow and it wasn't too easy to pass them since they were doing switch backs.

Once we got to the crater we had some nice views of the area but the summit was in thick clouds.

Once we got on the summit we didn't had any views, we had some spare time so we decided to give it a try and wait a bit to see that maybe we will get lucky and have some views but it didn't happen.

Soon we started our way back down and met the same groups that we had to pass in the morning.

Wasn't too long until we reached our camp and soon we started packing and started our way back down to the car.

Once we got at the parking lot we saw that every car got a ticket except my car, I guess because I had my license plates from New Brunswick.

Here is the video of the trip:
