Me and Ben decided to go for a day trip up Cypress Peak while the road was in good shape.
We followed the road description from Matt Gunn's description for Roe Creek parking.
The road was in pretty good shape even for my 2WD Civic, we managed to get pretty much all the way up to the parking lot except the last uphill which was just pretty close to the parking, it was a bit too steep to get up.
From the parking we couldn't find any flagging so we just went to cross the creek which had some pretty bad bushes, the creek itself wasn't too bad to cross, the water level wasn't too high and we found some logs that helped us to get across.
We stayed on the left side of the creek and soon we got to the boulder field that we followed for a while to about 1600m.
From there we choose to go on the glacier for faster travel and soon we started traversing towards the col.
Once we got at the col we saw that snowmobile that somebody left it on the glacier and soon we started our way towards the summit.
The route up the summit wasn't too bad, only has one small crux described in Matt Gunn's book which can be avoided if you traverse below the step.
We took our time on the summit enjoying those views and soon we started our way back down.
Once we got back at the col we took the same route down and stayed on the glacier which made our descend pretty fast.
