Rigby,Revolution

Rigby and Revolution Peak August 23rd 2015

After our long hike on the previous day to Mount Brew we woke up a bit later and the plan was to go for Ribgy and Revolution Peaks and Brian was fine with driving all of us up to Molybdenite Lake that giving us a chance to do a loop.

The road to the lake was in Ok shape, we had to get out few times since the car was too low with all of us in the car but we made it to the lake without any problems.

From the lake we crossed the creek and started our way towards the col between Rigby and Onion E1 from where Brian decided he would just go solo for Onion Peak while the rest of us continued towards the summit of Rigby.

The views of Molybdenite lake were stunning as we were getting higher near the summit of Rigby Peak.

From Rigby Peak we continued along the ridge which was fine with ups and down and in no time we got on the summit of Revolution.

From there our plan was to do Money Peak but once we went down the North ridge of Revolution to a small subsummit at 2330 we decided to drop down to the road, there was a 200m drop and the last section looked pretty steep from there.

From that subsummit we saw a gully that goes all the way down into the valley so we decided to take.

As we were going down on the scree slope of the gully I couldn't find my sun glasses and remembered that I left them on a rock on the subsummit.

The gully was getting steeper and a bit bushy near the bottom but it wasn't a bad choice to come down and soon we got back on the road.

From where we exited it was a short walk on the road to reach our campsite where we left our second car and our tents.
