Ring Mountain is a short and mostly easy hike with great views form the summit so we decided to go for it as a day trip with Michelle,David and Ben.
The road(Upper Callaghan FSR) was in pretty good shape and we had no problems with Michelle's Jeep and once we got there there was few other cars that were camping at Callaghan Lake.

Soon we started hiking following the well marked trail to Callaghan Lodge from where we started to follow the nice trail to Ring Lake.
Once we got at the lake we went around the lake we started our way to the base of Ring Peak.
At the base we picked a line that looked more open and we hoped it will be more stable but no matter where we tried to go it will be the same all loose and lots of sharp rocks.
Soon we made our way near the summit where we had to go into a gully where the terrain was a bit more stable but we still had to go one by one.
From the summit we had great views of the area and took our time to name as many peaks as we could recognize.
The way down was pretty fast but we had to stop form time to time from all those rocks in our boots.
Once we got down at Ring Lake David went for a refreshing swim after what we started our way back to the parking lot.
