Mount Luke May 24th 2015
This was a BCMC trip organized by Alastair that is done every year in the memory of a BCMC member.
Few people drove there the night before and slept at a small camping spot along the river pretty much below Mount Luke and the rest of us drove in the morning and met everybody else there.
The route was pretty much straight up from the highway to NE ridge of Mount Luke.
Once we got near the ridge most of the group decided to drop down into the valley and make their way up to Luke-Melvin SW2 col and from there go to the summit of Mount Luke while me and Dean decided to follow the NE ridge.
The ridge wasn't too bad, we only had to skip and traverse one bump along the ridge which looked too broken an the rest was pretty easy.
Once we got on the summit the weather started to move in and the rest of the group started to get on the summit.
Once everybody got on the summit it started to rain a bit and we could hear thunder not too far from us and our ice axes started to buzz so we decided to started going fast and we all went the same, back down to the col between Luke and Melvin SW2.
