Frodo,Peregrine Peaks May 17-18 2015
We decided to go into Brian Waddington Lake Hut area and spend there 2 days sleeping at the hut and we were debating between bringing skis or snowshoes and had both with us in the car to decide at the trailhead.
The road was in pretty good shape, drove to the regular parking just pass Phelix Creek East Branch where there is a pretty good parking spot, from there I decided to take snowshoes looking at the snow level but Dean chose to take skis.
It was pretty fast for us to get to the lake but we left pretty late so we just got at the lake and just relaxed there for a bit while outside the weather was constantly changing from cloudy to rain and back to just clouds.
The next day we woke up and start going from the hut towards the col between Gandalf and Frodo Peaks from where we went up Frodo ridge which was pretty easy and I was following Dean on skis who was super fast.
Once we got on the summit of Frodo we continued along the ridge towards Peregrine Peak which was pretty easy to follow with a small step going down from the summit.
From Peregrine Peak we followed the ridge for a bit longer before dropping down into the forest and then back down to the road.
The route wasn't too bad, just one steep spot and the forest was a bit bushy at the bottom before reaching the road.
