We decided to do the classic loop in Manning Park starting from Snow Camp and finishing with Red Mountain.
The trail was pretty easy to follow up into the alpine from where we could see our first summit, Snow Camp.
Once we got on the ridge we finally saw that crazy view of Hozomeen Peak which looked super impressive.
Once we got on the summit of Snow Camp we decided to do a short run off the summit back to the trail which was pretty good snow.
After our sweet ski run we got back on the summit of Snow Camp from where we continued our way towards Lone Goat Peak following the ridge.
From Lone Goat Peak we continued our way towards red Mountain and the snow was getting worse.
Red Mountain and the broad ski line |
From the summit of Red Mountain we took the broad line going down to the valley bottom which was pretty challenging, the snow was pretty icy and in some spots it was pretty steep, so took me a bit more time to get down.
Once we got at the bottom of the valley we started skinning towards the ski resort from where we joined the cross-country tracks and got back to the parking lot pretty fast.
