Dewdney and Ford

                                             Dewdney and Ford Mountains-August 31st 2014

The weather wasn't look that great for the weekend but we decided to go for a easier hike up Dewdney and Ford Mountains.

We drove to the parking lot of Cascade recreation area from where we followed the nice flat a pretty wide and well maintained trail.

Once we got pass the avalanche pass where the trail was little bit narrow but still not bushy we got to the flat part where most of the parties use it as a starting sign to go up towards the col where we saw a cairn and some flagging where we left the trail and started our way up to the ridge following the ribons that we would see here and there.

Soon we got on the ridge and as we expected there were no views.

We first chose to go up to Ford Mountain since it was closer and a easier way to to the summit.

Once we were getting higher on the ridge to the summit of Ford Mountain we could finally see something.

We didn't spent too much time on the summit of Ford since there was not much to see and started our way back down to the col from where we started our way towards Mount Dewdney.

Once we were getting closer to the summit we went up the ridge too early and had to deal with a section of class 3 scramble on wet rocks and already took the normal route back down from the summit.

Despite that we didn't had many great views we still had a great day.
