Saxifrage and Cassiope

                                              Saxifrage and Cassiope Mountains-July 26th 2014

We decided to do a car camping weekend with Adrien and chose to go for Saxifrage and Cassiope Mountain on our first day.

We left Vancouver early since we didn't know how far I will be able to drive on Spetch Creek FSR.

And as I was expecting at the first waterbar we had to stop, it was way too big and too deep to try and cross with my car, so we parked there.

Even that we didn't drive far on the road we still had lots of time and we weren't in a huge rush and we were taking our time walking up Spetch Creek FSR.

Soon we reached the sings for the trail that leave the road where there were photos of the couple that is missing in that area.

From there didn't took us too long to reach the lake and the trail was in pretty good shape.

We didn't spent too much time at the lake since the bugs were just horrible and just took some photos and continued our way towards the col.

We went first to Saxifrage Mountain which wasn't too bad and pretty fast from the col.

After few photos we started our descend back down to the col from where we started our way to Cassiope Peak which was pretty easy and fun and we had to take our time at the exposed move along the ridge.

Once we got on the summit we took our time since we knew we still have tons of time.
The way back to the car wasn't too long and we decided to just camp where we parked my car and drive from there the next morning to our next destination.
