After our 4 day trip into Blowdown area we all still had some days off left and decided to go for 2-3 days into Sugarloaf Mountain area.
We started not too early and we were hoping to drive a little further on Miller Bench Road but the snow was getting deeper and we stopped pretty fast.
It took us a while to skin up on that road, by the time we got to the end of the road we were already pretty tired and still had a long way to the cabin, luckily we had snowmobilers tracks that we could follow.
We got to the cabin no too long before sunset, we still had some time but we decided to take it easy ,clean up the cabin a little bit and slowly start cooking our dinners.
After we watched the sunset we all went to bed.
The next morning our destination was Sugarloaf Mounrain, a pretty straight forward route just following the ridge with few ups and downs along the ridge.
Once we got near the summit we switch into bootpacking since it was getting a bit steeper.
On the summit we had great views of the area but it was pretty cold and soon we started our ski down.
We decided to go for Mount Ross too and started our way towards Mount Ross but it was getting late and we had only 2 hours of daylight and my skins and Ben's skins weren't really sticking anymore so me and Ben decided to turn back and go to the cabin while Dean decided to keep going to the summit which was about 2km away.
Once we got back on the ridge we saw that Dean turned back too and he was catching up to us .
On our way back to the cabin we had some pretty sweet sunset.
We were hoping to ski down on the same day but it was getting pretty late and we decided to spend one more night up there instead of skiing down in dark.
The next morning we skied back down to the car.
