Kaoham, Skimka, Trilateral and Seton Peaks October 11th 2015
Mount Seton was on my list to explore for a while, and every time I've been into Downton creek area I always admired that mountain and we even had few attempts but did other peaks instead in that area.
So this time me and dean decided to go and give it a try, the road was in pretty good shape and we drove with no problems to the parking lot at about 1760m from where we followed Holly Lake trail for a bit and at about 2000m we started going towards Kaoham Peak.
The way to Kaoham Peak was pretty easy, a nice open ridge to the summit.
From the summit of Kaoham we continued along the ridge towards Simka Peak from where we could see Trilateral Peak which looked a bit broken.
Once we got closer to Trilateral we knew we won't be able to go down from the summit and continue on the ridge, so we had to downclimb back and loop around the summit to a notch where we got back on the ridge.
From there the ridge was still a bit broken but wasn't too bad to follow.
We were finally getting closer to the summit of Seton but the temperatures were dropping pretty fast and we had to move a bit faster to keep us warm.
On the way down from the summit we decided to go down from the col before Seton Peak and join the road at 1400m from where we would had to walk back to the car.
The lakes down bellow had some really interesting colours and from the lakes we were following the creek and at about 1980m we found something that looked like a trail which we decided to take.
The trail actually took us all the way down to the road and was in pretty good shape, just had some steep traversing in few spots but we weren't expecting to see any trails at all.
Once we got on the road we had to hike back up to the car and it was already snowing so we wanted to get there as fast as possible and drive down the road before the road get's bad.
