Silverdaisy,Claimstake,Hatchethead

Silverdaisy, Claimstake and Hatchethead Peaks November 21-22 2015

Steven and I decided to go into Silverdaisy area as a overnight trip and I decided to go on skis while Steven decided to be on snowshoes,

Once we got at the parking lot for Cayoose Creek FSR we were able to put skis and snowshoes form the car and started our long way up on the logging road.

It's about 10km one way so it's a long way but it's pretty easy travel and that pays off on the way back especially if you are on skis.

We went up towards Silverdaisy-Claimstake col from where we went up first to Silverdaisy which wasn't too far away and from where I did my first turns for this seasons.

Once we got back at the col we continued our way towards Claimstake.

The ridge gets a bit narrow near the summit which we had to boot pack it.

Once we got on the summit of Claimstake we decided to camp pretty close to the summit where we found flat spot.

The plan for the next day was to go and do Hatchethead and maybe Eastpoint depending how we would feel.

We woke up the next morning and after our breakfast we started our way towards Hatchethead Peak.

The way was pretty easy just lots of ups and downs along the ridge.

Once we got back at our camp at Claimstake we packed our gear and started our way back down.

From Claimstake we decided to go down to the col between Claimstake and Eastpoint and decide there if we will go or not for Eastpoint.

Once we got at the col we made a decision that we were both tired and better to go down and leave it for another time.

Northern

                                         Northern Peak November 11th 2015

We decided to go more towards Lillooet again since that was the place with some ok weather and chose to go up Northern Peak with Steven.

We left Vancouver pretty early and it was a pretty long drive to get there and Duffey Lake road was pretty icy in spot so we had to go a bit slower.

Once we saw the logging road we have to take we pulled over and parked the car and started our hike.

The hike along the logging road wasn't too bad, we were expecting more bushes.

At about 1200m we had to leave the road and jump into the forest which was fairly steep as a start and lots of deadfalls.

Once we were getting closer to the ridge the weather was clearing up and we finally started to have some better views.

The ridge itself wasn't too bad with only one minor bump from where it was one last uphill to the summit.

Once we got all out summit photos we started our descend back down to the car following the same route we took on our way up.
